Modern air conditioning systems, commonly known as split systems, consist of an indoor wall-mounted unit and a compact outdoor unit. They work by moving heat rather than generating it, which is why they are so efficient. For every 1kW of electricity used, a good quality unit delivers up to 4kW of heating or cooling output. That makes them significantly cheaper to run than traditional electric heaters or portable cooling units, which convert electricity to heat on a one-to-one basis.
Beyond temperature control, modern systems include multi-stage air filtration that removes pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and airborne pollutants from your indoor air. Many units also include a dehumidification mode, which takes the edge off the humid, muggy conditions that make British summers so uncomfortable, particularly at night.

How It Works
Home Survey and System Design
We visit your property to assess the rooms you want to condition, the layout of your home, and the best positions for both the indoor and outdoor units. From this we produce a system specification sized correctly for your needs, and confirm whether your property qualifies for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant.
Installation
Our engineers fit the indoor wall unit, run the refrigerant pipework and cabling through the wall, and install the outdoor unit in a suitable location outside. Most single-room installations are completed within a day, with minimal disruption to the rest of your home.
Commissioning and Handover
Once installed, we commission the system, carry out all required checks, and handle any BUS grant paperwork on your behalf. We walk you through the controls and settings, including sleep mode, scheduled timers, and the most efficient way to heat and cool your home day to day.
